This is going to be one of those days. Actually it already IS one of those days, given that it’s now after 11am my time. I can’t be on time to save my life this morning, which is particularly annoying. I blame it on my oldest child. I’ve spent my morning doing my walk, going to the grocery store..
twice.. I’d gotten all the way home before I realized I’d forgotten the “secret” ingredient to the dinner I’m making…and then spent some quality time fighting with Facebook because the hamsters that run that site have suddenly decided that they know much better than I as to what I would like to read about each day. Oh, then I learned that I am way, WAY behind times as far as Duran goes. Not only have they apparently released Leave a Light On as a single since it’s getting some airplay in various US cities…but I have never watched a single episode of South Park. I’m telling you all, Nick (and apparently now Roger) is going to not only take my Duranie card away, they are likely to burn it right in front of me. I suck at fashion and now the whole South Park thing has come to light…oh boy. I have no excuse for my behavior other than to say that I simply watch other crap on TV and according to my son I have no sense of real humor. Thank you.
On to a better topic – our meet up before the Chicago show! We are finalizing plans to meet at The Roof on theWit for appetizers, drinks and fun. The plans are to meet there at 5pm and stay until showtime. This is a rooftop bar at theWit hotel in Chicago, which is right across from the Chicago Theatre. It’s a pretty cool looking place and a great atmosphere for some before the show libations and fun. Here is a link to the Roof. What I’d like to ask is that if you’re still planning to attend, please confirm with me via our gmail address: dailyduranie@gmail.com. Give me your name and how many people will be coming. I’m going to be making reservations at the end of the week and I look forward to seeing everyone there! If you haven’t already told us that you’d like to go but want to be included, definitely send us a line, and of course if your plans have changed and you can’t meet up, please let me know as well. We’re just trying to nail down a solid number for our reservation. Thanks!!
Lastly, if you find yourself with an extra ticket to the Chicago show – I’m still interested in buying. I’m looking for a main floor seat, preferably in rows FF or closer.
I’m off to pick up my youngest from preschool and get her ready for her dance class this afternoon!
