July 11

  • Performed at the Birmingham Odeon (1981)
  • Played with Erasure at the Civic Center in Pittsburgh (1987)
  • Performed at Municipal Amphitheater in Guadalajara, Mexico (1983)
  • A & R saw them at the OC Fair/Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa, CA (2009)

July 12

  • Rick Dees Top 40 had “A View To A Kill” at #1 (1985)
  • Played at the Budokan in Tokyo (2003)
  • Performed at White Knights Festival, St. Petersburg Russia (2014)

July 13

  • “Girls on Film” released (1981)
  • Video for “A View to a Kill” shown on American Bandstand TV show (1985)
  • Performed for Live Aid in Philadelphia. As we all know and can recite by memory at this point – it was the last performance by the classic lineup until the reunion shows in 2003. (1985)
  • We saw them at Molson Canadian Amphitheater in Toronto (2016)

July 14

  • Played at First Avenue in Minneapolis (1982)
  • American Top 40 had “The Reflex at #5 (1984)
  • duranduran.com posted the first official photo of the reunion. I can remember staring at that photo and my brain not completely registering what my eyes were seeing!!! (2002)

July 15

  • Played at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA as the classic line-up/reunion (2003)
  • The Devils released Dark Circles in the UK. This is the Stephen Duffy/Nick Rhodes music project featuring songs very early in the band’s career – pre-Simon. (2002)

July 16

  • Played at The Rum Runner in Birmingham (1980)
  • Played at Pacific Amphitheater, Costa Mesa CA as the classic line-up. (2003)
  • Kennedy Space Center 50th anniversary show of landing of Apollo (2019)

July 17

  • Played Six Flags over Atlanta (1987)
  • Appeared at Lovebox Festival with Mark Ronson (2010)
  • Played Xfinity Center in Massachusetts (2016)
