Countdown to Paper Gods — 4!!!

4 DAYS!!!!

Can we all survive until then?!  I know.  I know.  It is questionable.  Very questionable.  That said, I hope that by giving you another idea of how to spend the day, hopefully distracted from thinking about the album, it will help each and every one of you to make it to Friday!

So, what’s today’s idea?  Simple.  It is to give yourself lots of little Duranie tasks.  Here are some of the ones I use to distract myself (such as when I’m stuck in horrendously long and boring staff meetings.  Wait!?!  Did I just say that out loud?!  Oops.):

  • Decide your current Top 10 Duran songs (and then wait to see if they change once you have heard all of Paper Gods!)
  • List your favorite lyrics
  • Decide your current Top 10 Duran videos
  • Try to speak only in song lyrics
  • Write down as many concert memories that you can think of
  • Plan your ideal setlist
  • Plan your ideal tour
  • Rank Duran Duran albums
  • Write a poem using song lyrics or song titles
  • Alphabetize Duran songs and albums
  • See if you can name all the songs of all the albums

What other tasks could you do?  If you have some good ideas, we would LOVE to hear your ideas and share them.  After all, your ideas could help other fans!

  1. I am practising a calm and zenlike living in the moment and enjoying my DD-free time until it arrives, because I know it’s going to consume me when it does! Happily my boyfriend has helpfully arranged to do stuff with friends most of this weekend so I have lots of blissful uninterrupted Getting To Know You time lined up with Paper Gods! 🙂 Hurrah!
