When I started thinking about what to do with today’s blog post, I knew that I wanted it to be Future Past focused. After all, the album is too new to move on, in my opinion. But what to write about, specifically? I started thinking about the fact that this is Duran’s 15th album. What could be done with that? So, here’s what I’m thinking. I am going to count down from 15 with prompts for all of YOU! Now, no pressure with these prompts. Answer as many or as few of them as you want. I just wanted something to spur on or, in many cases, to continue conversation about the album. Depending on how this exercise of sorts works, I might do another blog post about what I saw, what I learned, my observations but, again, there is no pressure. It is just for fun. (At least, I hope it is!)
15 – This is the band’s 15th studio album
Thinking back to all of the past album releases, what do you think you will end up remembering about this one the most? Will you remember the fans’ collective excitement? Will you remember all of the promotion? What about the chart success that the band is experiencing? Something else?
14 – There are more than 14 “celebrities” in the video for Anniversary
As we know, there are more than 14 celebrity look-a-likes in the band’s most recent video for Anniversary. Which “celebrity” appearance were you most surprised by? Excited about? Impressed by?

Since this album cycle is super new, what are 13 wishes you have for this album cycle? Maybe it is about the success of the album? Maybe it is about more videos? Maybe it is about you and your personal Duranie friends? What do you wish for? See if you can come up with 13 wishes, too!
12 – Tracks on the regular album version of Future Past
The regular version of Future Past contains 12 tracks. There are extras on the deluxe version but, in this case, we are sticking to the 12 main songs. Before you heard the entire album, which song were you most excited to hear and why?
11 – Years of the Daily Duranie
As soon as I typed that fact, I took a pause. 11 years!?! How can that be? We have been around for three album releases now (All You Need Is Now, Paper Gods and Future Past). Is there something that you would like us to do, to cover, to discuss when it comes to this album?
10 – Cities to tour
I think a lot of Duranies are hoping for shows and a tour next year. (Of course, everyone is wishing that a tour and shows would be safe, covid wise, as well.) Anyway, assuming that everything is cool in terms of that global pandemic, what are 10 cities that you hope Duran Duran would play a show in? Maybe you want them to come near you. Perhaps, you want them to travel close to some of your friends. It is possible that you have a list of cities that you have always wanted to visit and would love to see them play there for an excuse to go and visit.
9 – Videos since the reunion
I believe that there have been 9 videos since the band reunited in the early 2000s. I checked that fact a couple of times but I might be missing a video or two. Anyway, which video of those 9 have been your favorite so far? (The list I’m using includes: Sunrise, What Happens Tomorrow, Falling Down, All You Need Is Now, Girl Panic, Pressure Off, Last Night in the City, Invisible and Anniversary.) (Edited to add: I forgot More Joy! Dang it! Now the number doesn’t fit. Oh well. I tried. ??)
8 – “Celebrates” in Anniversary

Over the years, the one question I have learned never to ask the Duran fan community is “which song is your favorite”. It is like asking fans to choose which family member is most important to them.
