Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.

  1. This is the most difficult match up by far. On lyrics alone I went with Save A Prayer. But…..having been to so many shows (and not nearly as many as a lot of you dedicated Duranies reading this), at this point New Religion holds a magical place in my heart. I have seen/heard SAP so many times live and admit I am a bit tired. I sing along, light my phone, scream (at appropriate times) but admit that New Religion live is a totally different experience. Obviously the energy is different between the two. This is the first time I have felt compelled to explain my vote. Lyrics I give to SAP. Save A Prayer will always hold a special place in my heart. But I will NEVER, EVER forget New Religion live during the reunion tour. It was as close to a religious experience as I could possibly get.
