Summer is coming to a quick close this week in our house as we round out the break in time for school registration! Where did all of those lazy summer days go?! Meanwhile, it is a week of show memories for Daily Duranie, as we think back on the tour of 2016!!

July 25

  • Girls on Film peaked at #5 in the UK (1981)
  • Power Station performed at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater. It was Rhonda’s first concert ever! (1985)
  • Performed at Sporting Club Summer Festival in Monte Carlo, Monaco (2012)

July 26

  • Played at Fraze Pavilion in Dayton, Ohio (2005)
  • Nick Rhodes revealed on duranduran.com that Ana Matronic would be featured on the song, “Safe” on AYNIN. (2010)

July 27

  • Hearts broke all around the world on this date when Roger married his first wife, Giovanna in Naples. (1984)
  • Played at Hyde Park at the Olympics Opening Ceremony Celebration (2012)
  • Played at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles CA (2016)

July 28

  • Played at the Z100 birthday party in Madison Square Garden, NYC (1993)
  • Duran Duran: Unseen released (2005)
  • The art project, Correspondencia by Laureana Toledo and John Taylor opened in Mexico City. (2011)

July 29

  • Recorded Girls on Film and Tel Aviv at AIR Studios, London (1980)
  • Andy Taylor married his wife, Tracey (1982)

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog.
