Today in Duran History – Power Station

On today’s date in 1985, Power Station played at the Raleigh Civic and Convention Center.

I couldn’t find any clips from this particular show, but I did find Murderess from Live Aid…which is nice because it’s not one of the two songs most people know. Enjoy!!

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.

  1. “Harvest For The World” was on their setlist during The Power Station Live Tour. I saw them in Louisville, KY for that tour. Andy sang on the song which dumb-founded me because until that moment, I didn’t realize that it was Andy singing on the recorded track.
