Today in Duran History – Secret Caravan Tour Rehearsals

On this date in 1988, Duran Duran began rehearsing for the Secret Caravan Tour in Sussex, UK.  The Secret Caravan Tour took place in October to November 1988 before the Big Live Thing Tour started.  The Big Live Thing Tour was, of course, the big tour to accompany the Big Thing album.  The Secret Caravan tour, which took place in the US and Canada, was sort of a warm-up to the tour as the band played in very small venues.

Did anyone have a chance to hit one of these shows?  If so, what were they like?
