Vodka Friday: Greatest Part 2

Duran Duran released their second greatest hits album, titled Greatest, in 1998. I think we can all admit that they have created lots more since then. Heck, they released a number of albums, including Pop Trash, Astronaut, Red Carpet Massacre, All You Need Is Now, and Paper Gods. Their catalog grew quite a bit and, yet, nothing to summarize, to capture the best of those albums and years. This led Rhonda and I to discuss what *we* should be included if the band were ever to release a part two. Interestingly enough, we tried to be brief in this discussion. Yes, the key word there is tried. We hoped that it would not take that long but…we got pretty in the weeds with this one. Nonetheless, we ended up proud with our song selection. Watch to see what we chose and then share your ideas!

By Daily Duranie

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.

  1. Greatest Hits. As DD are celebrating their 40th anniversary, can’t believe it’s 40 years since I purchased Planet Earth, what I would like to see Greatest Hits wise would be the band re-record the hits so instead of Planet Earth 1981 version we have Planet Earth 2021 version and so on. I realise that’s unlikely to happen though …. There are several songs from Pop Trash onwards I’d like to see on a greatest hits. However, what I would also like to see is a Strange Behaviour II released as there are several mixes of their songs released only in certain countries …..
