Let’s Talk MORE JOY!

MORE JOY

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Ferris Bueller from Ferris Beuller’s Day Off

Yep, I did just quote from one of my favorite movies of all time right there.

If you weren’t watching social media closely today, you may have missed “MORE JOY”, the newest release from the band’s upcoming album, Future Past.

Today was also one of the craziest days I’ve had all summer. There was no time stopping until late this afternoon. However, I did eventually stop, and I even pulled Jason away from his vacation just long enough for us to chat about one of the more exciting songs we’ve heard all summer. After all, it’s Thursday, and it’s time for My Own Way…and another episode of The Encores Club!

Despite some heavy resistance from fans, the announcement of CHAI appearing on a Duran Duran song was something that both Jason and I were excited about. (okay, truth be told he was excited and I was more like “Whos Chai? Wait, they play music that sounds like video games???”) While many were concerned that the next Duran Duran single would sound like chipmunks that had been released into an arcade (or so I heard. Somewhere), something made both of us suspect that perhaps the band would utilize Chai in a way that positively featured them and their unique sound while preserving the sound we all know and love to be Duran Duran.

I invite you to check out The Encores Club. If you like what you see, please hit the subscribe button and you’ll be notified when we post the next one! -R

If you’re sitting there saying, wait, what new Duran Duran song? I didn’t even hear it yet…we got you. Here’s the song with the visualizer I mentioned in the review.

By Daily Duranie

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.
