February 21

  • Planet Earth peaked at #12 on the UK charts (1981)
  • Duran Duran performs in Madison, Wisconsin (1984)
  • Skin Trade peaked at #22 on UK charts (1987)
  • Extraordinary World documentary released (1994)

February 22

  • Nick and Simon were on WLS radio in Chicago. (1984)
  • Played Big Egg in Tokyo (1989)
  • Played in Mexico City (2005)

February 23

  • The Wedding Album was released worldwide (1993)
  • Chic: Live at the Budokan” released, feat. Simon performing “Notorious” with Chic (1999)

February 24

  • The first scheduled TV appearance for Duran Duran originally planned on this date, but canceled due to the engagement announcement of Prince Charles and Lady Diana (1981)
  • Performed Girls on Film and My Own Way at British Rock & Pop Awards (1982)
  • Video for Perfect Day filmed (1995)
  • Nick attended Grammy Awards (1999)

February 25

  • Nick appeared on Grammy Awards and presented Sheena Easton with Song of the Year award. (1986)
  • Mindi Abair’s album, It Just Happens That Way released, feat. John (2003)

February 26

  • Hungry Like the Wolf peaked at #3 on US charts (1983)
  • Began rehearsing with Wes Wehmiller on bass, and Joe Travers on drums (2001)
  • Played at Staples Center in Los Angeles (2005)

February 27

  • The Wedding Album peaked at #4 in UK and #7 in US (1993)
  • Played at the Houston Rodeo in the Astrodome (2001)

Who knew Duran Duran would ever play a rodeo?!? That is my giggle for the week! Have a good one, everybody!
