On this date in 2011, Duran Duran played at Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California. This show was part of the All You Need Is Now Tour. More significantly, it was the 8th show Duran did after Simon had lost his voice and they had to cancel many, many shows. I remember waiting for each and every night’s show report then. How did he sound? Did he seem okay? After all, I was going to see them in Chicago in the following month and in the UK the month after that. I was nervous. Yet, Simon sang beautifully and all was well!
