Throughout the last ten years of writing and keeping up this blog, we have praised the band, at times, and criticized, at other times. Each and every post, though, has contained love, even if sometimes it is hard to see. We would not keep up this blog if we didn’t love the band and if we weren’t grateful for being their fans. Recently, we have been feeling a little sad at what seemed like a disconnect between them and us, between the band and their fans. Yet, Thursday was the exact opposite. They made the day special for all fans through band members participating in Instagram and YouTube and the video premiere of Five Years. Fans, including us, felt the love and the connection. Yet, Rhonda and I were lucky enough to receive an additional gift in the form of a personalized thank you. Our words of gratitude are inadequate but we attempt to share all of that and more in this week’s Vodka Friday, including a hope that others received the same.
