Vodka Friday: Thoughts on DD Appreciation Day and #DD15!

I’m a lot behind on posting our Vodka Friday videos! I promise that I have a plan to get caught up. Nonetheless, here is one for all of you to enjoy. Well, enjoy might be the wrong word but you get what I’m saying here! For this particular Vodka Friday, we go back to talk about some of what we missed in August when the site was being rebuilt. What all did that include? We focused on two big topics: Duran Duran Appreciation Day 2020 including the Nick and John conversation on Instagram and we gave some thoughts, opinions…dare I say, suggestions to the band, about the next album, the yet-to-be-named #DD15. We made some statements. We definitely did. So you really might want a cocktail or two as you watch! Cheers!

By Daily Duranie

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.

  1. You girls found the perfect idea to start conversations about topics and I have to admit, I did agree with most of the topics of today. I just wanted to pointed out how you were totally right about all the Q&A on twitter or the comments during the IG Live with John and how “annoying” it is sometimes and very distractive. I do have admit that I totally loved how Katy did the private Q&A with different members of the band for the Duran “fan club” and each member were allowed to ask one questions to the member and if you submitted your question prior to a deadline, the member was going to answer your questions on a audio Q&A. I did submit my question to Roger and the excitement I got when I heard him answering it ! I know he has no idea who I am but knowing that it was my question that was asked, and Katy did mention my name and he answered it, that fulfilled my young 15 years old fangirling on that moment ! Keep up the great work girls !
