A few Vodka Fridays ago, Rhonda and I introduced the idea of celebrating fans! After all, this blog started out to tell the state of Duranie-dom. What is it like? What is the state of our fan community? We decided we were not going to focus on the latest news alert or try to report on the band’s every move. Not only could we not do that due to our hectic schedules but we didn’t want to. Fans are a big part of the story and we deserve the stoplight, sometimes, too. This is what led us to come up with the idea of having a Fan of the Month. The idea is simple. The fan films a Vodka Friday with us in which they share their fan story. For our first Fan of the Month, our friend, Erin, joins us! She shares how and when she got into the band, how she found the fan community and what she thinks of it and, most importantly, how she deals with her ever-present roommates who have some familiar faces. Iām so sorry for not being able to make it!! My daughter is struggling with school, and I needed to spend a lot of time this week working with her to catch her back up. Distance learning in 2020…it is not for the faint of heart, particularly the parents! Alas, thank you for understanding, and thank you to Amanda for doing a fantastic job! š -R
