Just a reminder that we only pick out a few items to share – this band has done a LOT over the past four decades and some! Not every day is/was jam-packed with excitement, so there are some dates that we skip.

October 4

  • Simon, John, Nick and Roger were interviewed by Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ. (1981)
  • Power Station appeared on Miami Vice (1985)

October 5

  • Performed Sunrise on German TV. (2004)

October 6

  • Live at Hammersmith ’82 and Rio remastered (2009)

October 7

  • Greatest re-entered the UK Top 30 (2001)
  • Bold, Beautiful and Damned: The World of 1980s Fashion Illustrator Tony Viramontes published. The book includes artwork for Arcadia and comments from Nick Rhodes. (2013)
  • Nick spoke on BBC radio with Mad World author Lori Majewski (2014)

October 9

  • Opened for Pauline Murray, John Cooper Clark and the Invisible Girls in London (1980)
  • Began recording Liberty album at Olympic Studios (1989)

October 10

  • The band met Andy Warhol (1981)
  • Union of the Snake video was released (1983)….good lord we’re getting old.
  • Along those same lines, the band held an online chat on AOL (America Online for you youngsters who don’t know the acronym). Hey, if you watched this – let us know, I’d love to chat! (1997)
