Vodka Friday: Remembering the Southeast Tour of 2012

From here on out, our Vodka Friday posts will publish on FRIDAYS…but we had a little trouble last week getting things to work properly…so without further delay…it’s now Vodka Wednesday. Why not? πŸ˜€ -R

The end of summer always sends me into a panic of what needs to be done for school and how daunting the tasks seem. It is usually all work and no fun. However, one summer provided an exception. Once upon a time, instead of the end of August causing panic, it gave me lots of fun surrounding a few shows, lots of driving, hot weather, new and old friends and more. Yes, this time of the year always reminds us of a little tour we had in 2012, despite the back-to-school fever. This particular tour took us to the southeast United States, where we celebrated the last shows of the All You Need Is Now Tour. While we had an amazing time, we also fumbled a bit. In some cases, we messed up on a pretty big scale. We cover it all and more on this particular Vodka Friday.

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.

  1. OMG, girls that was so awesome to watch ! I loved how you went and described your “first” front row show because on that tour, I also lived my first front show in 2011 the night after I met you guys in Chicago and those emotions were almost the same but the difference was that I had a ticket for the front row but I was not aware that my seat was…. dead centre front row ! Thanks for sharing that !
