Vodka Friday: Our 2021 Fandom Resolutions

In case you have not figured it out by now but Rhonda and I are a little different. We like to march to the beat of our own drummer, so to speak. So, instead of doing “regular” or “usual” resolutions, we decided to put a little spin on the first-of-the-year tradition. If you read yesterday’s post, you know that we asked you to list or describe your fandom-related resolutions. In this Vodka Friday, we give ours! We each gave two resolutions and are hopeful that you all help us to keep them. After all, we know that fandom brings us a little joy and after last year (so nice to say that!), we can definitely use a bit of that! Of course, if you did not give your fandom resolution yet, we would love to hear it!

Once upon a time, there were two Duran Duran fans. One named Amanda, the other named Rhonda. Over many vodka tonics, they would laugh about the idea of one day writing a book about their fan experiences. While that manuscript is still being composed...Rhonda thought they should write a blog. (What was she THINKING?!) Lo and behold: The Daily Duranie was born.

    1. Hi Martin – I actually had a few people ask me about that, and I so I decided to do a video in response. Point of view 1/4/21

I hope it explains my feelings a little better than a written blog or response might!

  1. Amanda, don’t forget to remember our concert from Detroit, Michigan, on March 24 with the return of Andy during the Reunion / Astronaut tour ! My resolution this year is to go thru my memorabilia and inventory and look at each piece and make a little Duran Duran corner in my apartment… this is going to be a long project but it is part of my resolution !

    1. I could NEVER forget that Detroit show! It was quite a moment! I love your resolution and making an inventory. I should totally do that! -A
